A session attended by Prime Minister Feliks Kulov and Transport and Communications Minister Nurlan Sulaymanov today discussed funding a railway project which will link China and Kyrgyzstan with Uzbekistan.
By now, I have known three investors who are willing to undertake the funding of the project in full, from implementing it to building the railway line between China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. We should resolve all the issues today or get a credit from the World Bank at a low interest rate. In any case, we must begin constructing the railway line, Prime Minister Feliks Kulov said.
Possible ways of funding the project and its technical aspects were discussed at the meeting.
Around 4m dollars are needed to build the railway line. Possible options for resolving the issue, including taking a credit from the Asian Development Bank or from the Chinese government, have been offered, Nurlan Sulaymanov said.
