Contexo Media Launches 2006 Edition of The National Directory of Adult & Senior Services
Posted on: Tuesday, 21 March 2006, 12:00 CST
Contexo Media today announced the launch of the 2006 edition of The National Directory of Adult & Senior Services (Directory).
Print editions of the Directory are available for $179 per copy. Single user licenses to access and use the resources of the Directory as a Web-based service from anywhere via the Internet start at $299 per user per year.
"One of the great benefits of having the Directory available as an online resource is the ability to quickly find exactly the resources you need for a client with just a few taps on the keyboard and a click or two of a computer mouse," said Treavor Peterson, president of Contexo Media. "We have learned that current Internet search engines are slow and ineffective in finding the resources our clients are searching for, and when an adult or senior client has an urgent issue that needs to be addressed immediately, those are the times when every second counts. These are the values our Web-based Directory delivers for industry professionals: speed and accuracy."
The 2006 edition of the Directory has more than 1,000 pages containing contact listings for more than 50,000 private sector and government institutions and professionals in all 50 states who help at-risk adults and senior citizens. These institutions and professionals work in government agencies and non-governmental organizations, social services, health and mental health services, referral networks, long-term care, treatment centers and hospitals.
Categories, topics and contact information found in the Directory include listings of government and non-governmental organizations providing services to children, youth and families in such areas as:
-- advocacy
-- Armed Services
-- Alzheimer's care
-- assisted living
-- clearinghouses
-- counseling
-- crisis care
-- disabilities facilities
-- elder abuse
-- grants
-- health services
-- home healthcare
-- hospice
-- hotlines
-- independent living
-- information resources
-- law enforcement
-- legal counseling
-- medical facilities
-- mental health services
-- national resource centers
-- psychiatric care
-- rehabilitation facilities
-- residential nursing
-- respite care
-- senior counseling
-- shelter care
-- social services
-- substance abuse
-- treatment centers
"Less than nine months after emerging on the national business information/publishing scene, we are proud to be able to bring a totally new and comprehensive resource to industry professionals serving adults and senior citizens," said Peterson. "The National Directory of Adult & Senior Services is chock-full of listings and contact information for government and non-governmental organizations and agencies that exist solely to help and serve the needs of adult and senior patrons."
The first print edition of the Directory is available from Contexo Media for immediate purchase online for $179. User licenses for the online version of the Directory start at $299. To purchase a copy or a user license, please visit www.contexomedia.com or call 800-343-6681.
