Posted on: Thursday, 26 February 2004, 06:00 CST
SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Callidus Software , the industry leader in Enterprise Incentive Management (EIM), today announced the availability of the newest release of TrueComp(R), the highly anticipated next generation of incentive compensation management software. The new TrueComp version features a re-designed user interface for increased productivity, new change management capabilities, and complete Web architecture for lower total cost of ownership. The software has been extensively tested and proven in the field.
Michael Weber, Director of Finance and Working Capital Management for LexisNexis(TM) in the U.S. commented, "We chose TrueComp because of its unbeatable combination of product features, scalable architecture, professional services, and support. Prior to implementing the TrueComp solution, our compensation team spent the majority of its time and resources on manual efforts to reconcile and verify compensation statements, instead of focusing on analysis and planning for future growth and change."
TrueComp software allows companies to deploy innovative compensation strategies that align sales behavior with corporate goals, while significantly reducing costs and overhead. Thus, companies save money while improving relations with sales personnel, distributors and channel partners.
Product Highlights:
Productivity
Callidus Software's new version of TrueComp features the industry's first "slim" client that brings rich usability features to a Web-based application. With intelligent power user features like in-line editing wizards and advanced search capabilities, TrueComp gives compensation analysts and administrators the control they need over the day-to-day tasks of compensation plan administration in a workspace that is organized around typical daily tasks.
Change Management
The new TrueComp offering provides two powerful features that make it simple to manage compensation plan changes. Effective Dating allows companies to modify territories and assignments simply and efficiently, retroactively or for future periods. Real-Time Collaboration automatically displays data as it changes on all desktops, ensuring synchronization among administrators who may be working on the same records in different locations.
Complete Web Architecture
The new TrueComp version utilizes the Web for automatic deployment of the application and subsequent updates (with no user or IT intervention required). Additionally, the TrueComp architecture makes efficient use of J2EE technology, minimizing requirements for expensive application server licenses.
These capabilities are built upon the market leading TrueComp grid-based technology and rules-based computing engine to create the most advanced use of technology ever deployed for enterprise incentive management.
This release of Callidus Software's EIM solution is the culmination of over 350 person-years, and $50 million in research and development effort. In addition, Callidus Software employs the industry's only Usability Sciences team, dedicated to the ergonomic design of the user interface, which ensures high productivity.
"We are extremely proud of the new TrueComp -- it is the result of collaboration with over 100 world class companies (our customers) in combination with one of the most extensive EIM development efforts undertaken by any software company to date," stated Reed Taussig, president and CEO of Callidus Software. "The result is a highly effective solution of enterprise incentive management applications that are market proven and state-of-the-art."
The TrueComp Solution
Comprised of three highly integrated applications, TrueComp delivers comprehensive EIM functionality for executives, sales channel personnel, business partners and compensation administrators alike. Utilizing the Internet, TrueComp provides visibility and rich functionality to all parties in a highly distributed environment.
TrueComp Manager(TM)
TrueComp Manager is the application used by compensation analysts and administrators to design and implement incentive compensation plans. It features a re-designed Web-based user interface that is built for productivity. Intelligent power user features facilitate organizational hierarchy, rate-table, territory, and compensation rule design, as well as commission processing and impact analysis.
TrueInformation(TM)
The TrueInformation solution provides visibility into the "black box" of incentive compensation for sales people and channel partners in the field, as well as executives, through a browser-based interface. By making sales goal and attainment information readily available, TrueInformation improves communication and ensures alignment with strategic objectives.
TrueResolution(TM)
The TrueResolution application provides a Web-based self-service portal for payees and managers to request changes to compensation plans, expedite position assignments, and resolve disputes over sales credits or compensation payments. The solution automates the business processes required to validate, route, research, and resolve credit disputes. TrueResolution is tightly integrated with TrueComp Manager, and utilizes the same repository of information and rules-based engine to resolve the vast majority of compensation disputes automatically.
