State Singers to Perform at Carnegie Hall

Mar. 22–An Oklahoma State University instructor and 56 singers from Stillwater and northeastern Oklahoma were scheduled to conduct and perform, respectively, works by Mozart in Carnegie Hall in New York on Tuesday night.
Mark F. Lawlor, OSU’s associate director of choral studies, was to direct the New England Symphonic Ensemble, soloists and a chorus of 140 singers, according to a press release. Members of the OSU choirs and the Stillwater Chamber Singers planned to participate.
The musicians were to perform Mozart in honor of the 250th anniversary of the composer’s birth.
