XO Communications Names Rick Scott As Senior Vice President of Network Services

RESTON, Va., March 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XO Communications today announced that Rick Scott has joined the company as senior vice president of network services. In this role, he will oversee all network operations and service delivery functions for the company and report to XO's chief operating officer, Wayne Rehberger.

Scott brings more than 30 years of telecommunications experience to XO with an extensive background in customer care, network services and operations. Prior to joining XO, Scott most recently served at chief operating officer at Birch Communications. Before that, he served as executive vice president of network services for Birch where he was responsible for network engineering and customer care. He also held senior management positions in customer care and network operations at NuVox and Gabriel Communications. Before entering the competitive local exchange industry, he spent twenty five years with Southwestern Bell Corporation where he held numerous international and network operations assignments.
He received a B.A. and M.B.A. from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas.
