Esmertec presents its Java Solutions for Mobile Phones, Telematics & Enterprise Applications at 3GSM

¶ Esmertec(TM) (www.esmertec.com), a leading provider of Java(TM) solutions for mobile multimedia phones and embedded devices, will be demonstrating its J2ME(TM) runtime solutions at 3GSM World Congress, Cannes on multiple devices - mobile phones, smart machines and automotive appliances. ¶ Esmertec's Jbed(TM) CLDC solution has been widely adopted by handset manufacturers and platform providers, including Agere Systems, Alphacell, Cellon, Compal, Codacom, Dai Telecom, Ezze Mobile, Infineon, Intel, LG Electronics, Pantech, QUALCOMM, Quanta, Skyworks, TTPcom, Texas Instruments, Vitelcom and Wavecom. ¶ A selection of the commercially available mobile devices with Esmertec's technologies on display include Alphacell M5, CEC F16 and CEC F18 (developed by Telson Electronics in Korea (www.telson.co.kr)), Palmax XG966, Palmax XG622, HP iPAQ, Sharp Zaurus and Philips 855. ¶"Esmertec has succeeded in establishing itself as a world leader in the mobile industry due to our unique Java compiling technology and our dedication to providing excellent products and services to our customer," said Alain Blancquart, CEO of Esmertec.

¶ Some examples of Esmertec's demonstrations at 3GSM are:

¶ On LG Electronics' handsets, the first integration of IN-FUSIO's ExEn Gaming Extensions (EGE) for MIDP 2.0 multiplayer games will be presented. ¶ Edge Rally, a thrilling racing game based on InfraWorlds' 3D engine, runs on ¶ Esmertec's Java solution and features photo-realistic landscapes and lots of special effects. ¶ Esmertec will also introduce Jcap(TM), a wireless component application platform that facilitates the development of fully customised mobile phones, to the mobile world. Jcap is designed to enable handset manufacturers to significantly reduce development, integration and testing time and costs. It opens up new revenue opportunities with Over-The-Air (OTA) applications, and it empowers users with unique personalisation and customisation capabilities. ¶ Exemplifying Esmertec's smart machine applications, we will be demonstrating a solution by IBM that enables enterprise integration of remote monitoring on control devices such as heating systems. ¶ EWAS (Embedded Web Application Server), Anyware Technologies' remote car monitoring and diagnosis server application that runs on Esmertec's JVM runtime platform, will also be presented. ¶"Esmertec is recognised as a leader in providing J2ME solutions for mobile phones," said Alain Blancquart.
