Georgia Tech's Electronic Commerce Resource Center Advances the E-Commerce Resurgence with a Professional Certificate Program

ATLANTA, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Georgia Tech's Electronic Commerce Resource Center is offering additional opportunities for the E-Commerce Professional Certificate Program, March 8-11, 2004 and June 14-17, 2004 at the Global Learning and Conference Center at Georgia Tech's Technology Square in Atlanta, GA. As our economy teeters on the brink of recovery, business establishments will cautiously look at business processes to determine how to best utilize cost efficient and effective technological solutions.
Business Week, September 29, 2003 says "... e-business has become a pillar of the economy. Consumers are more avid than ever to go places where only the Web can take them, and the corporations making the smartest use of the Internet outclass their brethren when it comes to operating nimbly and efficiently." The Georgia Tech E-Commerce Certificate program gives participants the opportunity to learn from industry and educational professionals with practical experience, the framework for successful and profitable e-commerce integration. Instructors are a cross-section of persons including a major E-Commerce attorney, international spokesman on internet security, large portal planner and developer, and university financial and marketing professionals. The program is targeted to staff in: IT, IT Implementers, Sales/Marketing, Business/Administrative Managers, Procurement, Contracting, Engineering, Supplier Diversity Specialist and Corporate Diversity Managers.

About the Georgia Tech Electronic Commerce Resource Center The Georgia Tech Electronic Commerce Resource Center (ECRC) was established in 1994 with primary funding from a contract with the Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency. The mission of the Georgia Tech ECRC is to promote the adoption of e-business and e-commerce technologies by business, industry, and governmental entities resulting in economic development and growth through improved operating efficiencies. The ECRC currently supports several state universities and corporate enterprises in expanding e-commerce knowledge as part of their technical assistance and economic development assistance program.
