Isee Systems Releases Isee.NET Framework

isee systems is extending access to models created with its leading Systems Thinking software iThink and STELLA through its new isee.NET Framework software development kit (SDK). isee.NET Framework allows developers to:

-- create custom Web interfaces to models,

-- integrate models with applications built with .NET or databases, and

-- develop web-based or desktop applications that include model simulation engines.

"Many of our customers were looking for an easy way to present models to colleagues and clients who aren't trained in Systems Thinking or model creation," explains Joanne Egner, Managing Director of isee systems. "They wanted to drive models with corporate data or place models inside other widely used applications. The isee.NET Framework increases the value of any model by making it more readily available to many more people."

Peter Lacey of The Whole Systems Partnership, a consultancy focused on health and social care markets, agrees. "Creating accessible, web-based models has the potential to greatly increase the spread of knowledge through an organization. isee.NET Framework separates the iThink interface from the underlying model to allow seamless integration with any corporate management information system. The model sits alongside mainstream information reporting tools and is accessed through an interface that can be made consistent with an organization's own internet applications."

Development of an isee.NET application, requires:

-- Windows 2000 Pro, Windows XP Pro or Windows 2003 Server

-- Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Services - for ASP.NET applications)

-- Visual Studio.NET 2003 or Visual Studio.NET 2005 (to run the samples)

-- iThink/STELLA 8 or higher

A simulation engine redistribution license allows developers to deploy a custom application or web interface developed using isee.NET Framework. Desktop licenses are sold on a per PC basis and packs are available in 10, 50, and 100 license quantities. Server engine licenses allow publication of simulations on an internal server or web site that does not also host a commercial web application.
