Mar. 30--MANATEE -- Manatee County has awarded a $1.8-million contract to Tyler Technologies, Inc., for Odyssey Courts software that will upgrade the county's computer records.
The new system will electronically manage criminal, civil and traffic courts records. It will also keep track of judicial assignments scheduling, and the management and assessment of court fines and fees.
Manatee joins three other Florida counties to incorporate the software.
In a press release, Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court R.B. "Chips" Shore said, "Our goal is to efficiently provide better service to the public, and Tyler Technologies will provide us with the software and professional services to allow us to accomplish that goal."
