MicroNav(TM) Ring Interface Solution Brings Advanced Menu Navigation and Stylish Design to New "Music" Mobile Phone
Interlink Electronics Inc. (NASDAQ:LINKE), a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of human interface products and technologies, announced today that Pantech Group, now the top mobile phone handset vendor in the South Korean market, has selected Interlink's MicroNav Ring technology to supply the user interface for it's new G-3600V mobile "music" phone.
Displayed at last month's CeBit 2006(TM) exposition, the full-featured Patech G-3600V mobile phone features various music equalizers and plays WMA, MP3, AAC, AAC+ and AMR music files. Interlink Electronics' MicroNav lighted scroll ring interface enables rapid menu scrolling and one-touch item selection on the G-3600V -- maximizing the mobile phone's usability as a digital music player.
"We are pleased to be working with Pantech Group, one of Asia's fastest growing and most innovative consumer electronics companies, in the development of the G-3600V," states Rod Vesling, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Interlink. "The custom lighted menu scroll ring acts as a centerpiece in the phone's overall design and gives it a look not seen in mobile telephone products previously. In today's increasingly competitive handset market, a mobile phone's success is largely determined by its style and ease of use. Interlink has worked closely with Pantech to ensure that the G3600V is both stylish and fun to use, either as a mobile handset or as a digital music player. This Pantech design win is typical of the interest we are seeing by consumer electronics manufacturers in integrating our MicroNav sensor solutions."
