Wave Systems and Intel Showcase Trusted Computing Solutions at the Intel Solution Summit 2006

Posted on: Tuesday, 4 April 2006, 09:00 CDT

Wave Systems Corp. (NASDAQ:WAVX), a developer of trusted computing solutions and services, announced today that the company is participating this week in the Intel Solution Summit 2006 in Rhodes, Greece. Wave Systems and Intel(R) will showcase Wave's EMBASSY(R) Trust Suite (ETS) client software and server infrastructure, demonstrating how ETS empowers users to unlock the advanced security features of Intel Desktop Boards containing the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) security chip. Wave will show how customers can leverage these built-in features to take advantage of the latest in security, combined with productivity features, when protecting documents, security passwords, generating digital certificates, encrypting email, logging on to Windows, managing security preferences and more.

Wave Systems' EMBASSY trusted applications and services software security suite are bundled with Intel motherboards Grantsdale and Lakeport (Model numbers: D915GEV, and D915GUX desktop boards; D945GNT Executive Series, D945GTP Executive Series, and D945GCZ Executive Series motherboards). Wave's ETS software is designed to support the next generation TPM security chip hardware integrated into the Intel desktop boards. The computer industry has shipped tens of millions of PCs embedded with the Trusted Computing Group-standard TPM trusted computing chips.

"We are proud to participate in the 2006 Intel Solution Summit and to showcase our EMBASSY trusted computing solutions. Wave Systems' technology represents a key differentiating element for EMEA system builders, who can take advantage of Wave's industry leadership and experience in trusted computing as well as our global partnership with Intel," said Bruno Leconte, Wave Systems Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). "Wave's ETS is the only trusted computing software that offers true interoperability, working with every TPM chip on the market to ensure customers can truly benefit from a single, next-generation security architecture that extends trusted computing throughout the enterprise, as intended by the Trusted Computing Group's open standard."

The Intel Solutions Summit, now in its eighth year in EMEA, takes place April 5-7 at the Sofitel Capsis Hotel and Convention Center, and is a high-level face-to-face gathering of Intel's top channel members Intel executives and other industry leaders. The event is drawing 550 leading system builders from across EMEA, attending to form new business relationships and learn about the latest market trends, opportunities, and technologies to capture new business. The Summit also provides a preview of new solution strategies, product roadmaps and emerging technologies from Intel.
