New Course to Help IT Specialists Enhance Communication Skills and Improve Corporate Objectives

ST. GEORGE, Utah, April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- LearnKey, Inc., a global provider of online, CD-Rom and network learning systems, today announced the release of a new e-Learning course called "Communication Skills for IT Specialists."
The course provides two key benefits for corporations and individuals. First, it is designed to help IT staff learn better techniques to more effectively interface with employees, clients and consumers as they implement and manage technology. Second, IT specialists will become better positioned for advancement by enhancing their personal communication skills.
"IT pros take pride in their technical knowledge; however, sometimes delivering that information in a way that non-technical individuals can readily understand can be a challenge," said Jamie Franzman, VP of Sales and Marketing for LearnKey. "Furthermore, IT jobs are more multifaceted than they once were, and IT staff members are being asked to perform functions that go beyond maintaining networks and other corporate technology. It is becoming more critical to facilitate open communication in today's organizations, and IT staff members are often in the center of activity. This course is specifically designed to empower IT pros with communications strategies and techniques that can put them personally ahead of the game and add value to their organization."
This course features industry expert, Tom Carpenter, who has delivered training programs to more than 29,000 IT professionals since 1997. Carpenter covers all aspects of communication from understanding theory to conflict resolution and presentation styles. The course includes scenarios that show how effective communication becomes a key advantage in today's IT environment. Carpenter brings a wealth of real world experience and knowledge to his courses. He is a CWNA, CWSP and MCP and is one of the founding managers of the Certified Technology Services Professional certification.
