ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN), a leading global supplier of power management solutions, has won the Best Global Partner 2006 award from ZTE Corp., a pioneer of China's telecommunications equipment manufacturing industry and a comprehensive provider of telecommunications equipment, mobile terminals and services.
The award honors ON Semiconductor for its outstanding power management products and solutions that have helped ZTE successfully build its penetration of the global market, accelerate its progress in internationalization and increase its revenues. It also signifies end users' recognition and acceptance of the power efficiency of ON Semiconductor's power management solutions.
The Best Global Partner Award is only given to 15 selected partners from among ZTE's 1,000 suppliers. The award recognizes partners who have demonstrated their ability to meet high expectations and tough performance goals in enabling ZTE to keep its costs low and quality high with on-time delivery and superior services. ON Semiconductor is one of the four top semiconductor suppliers to have won this prestigious award.
"We are very honored to receive this coveted award," said David Chow, ON Semiconductor vice president of sales for Asia Pacific. "The efforts of our outstanding team have led us to this remarkable achievement. Receiving this award from a key player such as ZTE is further proof of ON Semiconductor's distinguished performance in the telecommunications and networking markets, as well as the mobile terminal arena. Looking ahead, we will continue to challenge ourselves to bring additional added value to ZTE and their customers."
To enhance its partnership with ZTE, ON Semiconductor implemented a new business model and launched support programs including Just-In-Time, dedicated field application engineers and providing regular technology seminars that began during the third quarter of 2005.
ON Semiconductor's power management products and solutions, such as its protection arrays, EMI filters and audio amplifiers, have successfully been used in ZTE's CDMA and GSM phones marketed worldwide. These, coupled with ON Semiconductor's industry-leading clock and data management solutions and unique protection portfolio for supporting ZTE's networking business, have won users' recognition and helped businesses grow for both companies.
As the fastest growing global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, ZTE offers the most complete range of products in the world -- covering virtually every sector of the wireline, wireless and terminal markets.
