BEIJING, April 6 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Analysys International, a leading Internet based provider of business information about technology, media and telecom (TMT) industries in China, says, online payment remains as the major E-payment solution, accounting for 64.1% in the user market, in its recently released report China E-payment Market User Research 2006. In the online payment banking market, ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China) takes a leading market share of 44.6%. In the third party online payment market, Alibaba's AliPay occupies the first place, accounting for 48.2% market share.
According to Analysys International, in 2005, the average E-payment sum per user reached RMB 8,663 and users tried an average of 57 times per user on E-payment. 88.0% users completed their consumption shopping through E-payment; 77.7% held that they adopted E-payment simply because it was time-saving; 49.4% users believed that E-payment would replace traditional payment measures. In terms of E-payment security, which is mostly concerned about, 74.9% users were optimistic about E-payment security, and 90% hadn't suffered financial loss in E-payment process.
Analysys International also finds that users at different income levels differ a lot in their attitudes and opinions toward E-payment. Ma Ling, an analyst from Analysys International, says, ''In the current E-payment market, payment products and services have exerted certain impacts on users in different age groups and income levels. But there is no obvious brand difference between the service providers, which shows that providers should further exploit and refine both the connotation and denotation of their brand value.''
