Posted on: Thursday, 6 April 2006, 09:00 CDT
Secure Software, an authority in automated application security products and process technology, today announced that it has joined the Microsoft SecureIT Alliance, a community of developers working together to provide enhanced security solutions for the Microsoft platform. By supporting developer collaboration, the Alliance encourages the development and promotion of strong security solutions for organizations across the globe through partnerships with companies like Secure Software.
"Application security is a primary focus of developers as they constantly look to deliver improved securely engineered software to market," said Gerry Albert, group manager of the SecureIT Alliance. "Secure Software's insight and experience with security tools for the development lifecycle will be a valuable addition to the Alliance."
The SecureIT Alliance launched a community website in February 2006 to provide members with greater visibility into Microsoft developer programs, including beta releases, software development kits, early adopter programs and access to development labs. The site also has a public-facing side to help customers by providing comprehensive security solutions information, including business case studies, video-web presentations, technical white papers, best practice operations and deployment guidance provided by alliance members. More information on the SecureIT Alliance can be found at http://www.secureitalliance.org.
"We are collaborating with Microsoft in the SecureIT Alliance to create a more secure experience for our joint customers," said Pravir Chandra, chief security architect of Secure Software. "By working with Microsoft and the Alliance, we can help the software engineering community locate and fix potential security vulnerabilities in applications prior to deployment."
The CodeAssure application security suite includes CodeAssure Solo for individual developers, CodeAssure Team for collaboration between developers and security specialists, and CodeAssure Enterprise providing analysis, collaboration, reporting and management capabilities for entire development organizations (http://www.securesoftware.com/products/). Independent testing of the CodeAssure Product Suite has identified it as the most accurate source code analysis suite on the market (http://www.securesoftware.com/news/releases/20050715.html).
