Sun Life Financial Debuts Online Disability Claims System

WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass., April 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sun Life Financial's (NYSE, TSX: SLF) U.S. Group Insurance Division has introduced a new online disability claim submission system that allows customers to file paperless claims, while safeguarding privacy and confidentiality during the claims process. The innovative system is designed to be the most flexible in the industry, allowing either the employer or employee to initiate the online claim.

The flexibility built into the system can also accommodate employers and employees who want to do part of the claim process online and part on paper. Systems behind the scenes match up the parts of each the claim while keeping all medical information confidential. Once a claim is submitted, employers and employees can track the claim's progress online.
