MagnaChip Names Fairchild Executive As SVP of Worldwide Sales

SEOUL, South Korea, April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- MagnaChip Semiconductor today named Brent A. Rowe, as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Rowe joins MagnaChip from Fairchild Semiconductor . He has over 20 years experience in the semiconductor industry.

Brent A. Rowe, 44 years old, served with Fairchild Semiconductor from 1997 to November 2005. He most recently was Vice President of Americas Sales and Marketing. While at Fairchild, Rowe was a key team member in Fairchild's successful transition from a leveraged buyout multimarket company with approximately $400 million in revenue into a $1.4 billion revenue power market leader. Previously, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in both Europe and Japan, and was a director of marketing for Fairchild's logic and interface product line. Before Fairchild, Rowe worked in engineering and marketing positions at National Semiconductor from 1985 to 1997. Rowe holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with an emphasis in Semiconductor Physics and Processing from the University of Illinois. He holds a patent for a semiconductor switch design.
