Actions Semiconductor Recognized at China Microprocessor Forum Selected As One of the ''Best Embedded System Enterprises'' in China

ZHUHAI, China, April 12 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Actions Semiconductor Co., Ltd. , one of China's leading fabless semiconductor companies that provides comprehensive mixed-signal system-on-a-chip solutions for portable consumer electronics, today announced that it was recognized as one of the ''Best Embedded System Enterprises in China'' for the years 2004 and 2005.

The selection of ''Best Ten Embedded System Enterprises in China'' was initiated by Electronic Engineering and Product World Magazine in November 2005. Initially, 20 candidates were recommended by experts from China Embedded System Industry Alliance, Microcomputer Society of China Computer Federation, and IC Design Branch of China Semiconductor Industry Association. A poll was then taken over the internet and through responses from magazine advertisements during the following two months.

At the China Microprocessor Forum held at the Shanghai International Expo Centre on March 23, 2006, Mr. Terry Tien, Executive Director of Actions Semiconductor, was awarded the certification from the organizing committee. The certification recognizes the achievement of Actions Semiconductor in the field of embedded system development.
