Synchronicity Signs Siscad S.p.A. To Distribute their Design Management, Collaboration and Reuse Software in Italy

Synchronicity, Inc. has signed Siscad S.p.A. to distribute their design reuse, collaboration and management software in Italy. Siscad provides integrated solutions for CAD and EDA systems, software and methodology services, and will provide local sales, support and training for Synchronicity's software. ¶ Synchronicity already has considerable success in Italy with large customers such a STMicroelectronics but Siscad is seen as the right partner to move Synchronicity further into the that market. Initially, the focus will be on Siscad's established Italian customer base and users of the Cadence Virtuoso design platform but soon after Siscad will help extend Synchronicity to cover PCB development. Siscad has done well in Italy with many significant customers such as Telecom Italia, Marconi, Olivetti, Alenia, Italtel, and Laben. ¶ By advising on solutions for complete customer design environments, Siscad adds experience in both optimizing use of existing resources as well as planning additional systems.
