Tech Data Again Named to FORTUNE Most Admired Companies Listing

Tech Data Corp. (Nasdaq:TECD), a leading worldwide provider of IT products, logistics management and other value-added services, was again named to FORTUNE magazine's Most Admired Companies list. Described by the publisher as "the definitive report card on corporate reputations," the study rates companies using eight criteria: innovation, employee talent, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, management quality, financial soundness, long-term investment and quality of product or service. The 2004 ranking marks Tech Data's sixth consecutive year on the list. ¶ The report, appearing in the March 8 issue of the magazine, scored companies based on extensive surveys of executives, directors and analysts in each of the industries comprising the listing of the 2004 America's Most Admired Companies. Tech Data ranked fourth in the "wholesalers - electronics and office equipment" category, ahead of all broadline distributors. ¶ Other honors received this month include Tech Data being named U.S. Distributor of the Year by both Cisco Systems Inc. and Hitachi Data Systems Ltd.
