U.K. Service Provider alwaysON Announces New Hosted Communications Services via Sylantro Platform

Managed Communications Service Provider is First to Offer IP Centrex Services in Britain; Announces Largest U.K. Deployment -- 5,000+ Seats
¶ Sylantro Systems Corporation today announced that European service provider alwaysON has deployed its Virtual Telephony solution, a new service for business users that is based on Sylantro's telco-grade hosted communications applications and servers. In conjunction with the announcement, alwaysON also revealed the United Kingdom's largest rollout of IP Centrex services to date. ¶ In a contract exceeding $7.5 million USD (4 million GBP), alwaysON will provide its Virtual Telephony solution to Avanta Managed Services, a leading U.K. managed offices provider. Avanta is currently rolling out office facilities that will accommodate more than 5,000 users over the next three years. The contract was awarded to alwaysON after extensive evaluation of leading IP-PBX vendors. Avanta estimates savings of at least $2.6 million USD (1.4 million GBP) in PBX maintenance costs annually, in addition to reductions in cap-ex requirements and installation fees. ¶ The Virtual Telephony service offers a hosted alternative to buying and managing a PBX or other phone system for enterprise customers, and further expands upon other alwaysON offerings. The alwaysON Virtual Telephony solution provides advanced features such as one-number service for calls, faxes and voice messages; a Web user interface with click-to-dial, call logs and phone redirection; follow-me, do not disturb and black list capabilities; and Outlook(R) integration. ¶"We've built our business upon best-fit and best-of-breed services, partners and vendors, all integrated and managed via our custom OSS solution," said George Zaremba, alwaysON's founder and CEO.
