Solix Technologies, a leading global provider of information lifecycle management (ILM) solutions, announced that its Solix ARCHIVEjinni(TM) has successfully completed interoperability testing with IBM storage environments to become an IBM System Storage Proven(TM) solution. Solix ARCHIVEjinni can be used for data archiving and management to meet compliance guidelines, regulatory requirements and business intelligence needs using IBM systems.
Solix has demonstrated its leading Enterprise Data Management capabilities while working with IBM in a complex ILM project for NTL, the UK's leading broadcast transmission company. IBM chose Solix ARCHIVEjinni to provide data subsetting of Oracle applications data from the parent company NTL Group's database to form a new company called Arqiva. Solix ARCHIVEjinni has also successfully completed interoperability testing with IBM pSeries servers, DS8100 storage systems, Tivoli Storage Manager and Enterprise Workload Manager. Solix completed the testing at the IBM Innovation Center for Business Partners in San Mateo, California.
Solix ARCHIVEjinni is a comprehensive ILM system that enables Chief Data Officers and business managers to organize, manage and search all enterprise data including structured, unstructured and composite data.
"Achieving IBM System Storage Proven interoperability is another validation for Solix's flagship product, ARCHIVEjinni. This pre-qualified interoperability of Solix ARCHIVEjinni with IBM System Storage products allows customers seeking a proven, integrated ILM platform to quickly deploy solutions to address data retention strategies for corporate compliance. Solix's commitment to enterprise data management, coupled with achieving IBM System Storage Proven, will further serve enterprise demand for strategic ILM initiatives and help Solix to more easily market to IBM's global customer base," said Burt Salop, Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Alliances for Solix Technologies.
