Centrify and eXc Software to Strengthen Heterogeneous System Integration With Microsoft Enterprise Management Solutions

SAN DIEGO, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Centrify Corporation and eXc Software LLC announced today that the two companies will enhance their respective solutions to expand the seamless integration of non-Windows systems into the Microsoft System Center product family. The mutual support of each other's products will allow administrators to leverage Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 and Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003 in combination to automate the deployment of Centrify DirectControl through SMS 2003, and monitor its performance with MOM 2005.
Centrify is a leading provider of solutions that securely integrate non- Microsoft platforms with Microsoft(R) Active Directory management services. eXc Software is the industry leader in providing agent-less MOM 2005 and SMS 2003 solutions for non-Windows systems. The eXc Software eXctender Virtual Agents provide a gateway between UNIX/Linux systems and applications and the Microsoft's System Center solutions SMS 2003 and MOM 2005.
eXc Software will release a Virtual Agent that will deploy Centrify DirectControl software onto the non-Windows systems including UNIX, Linux, Mac OS X, and VMware. Ultimately, eXc Software Virtual Agents will use the Centrify DirectControl solution to authenticate to Active Directory so that the Virtual Agents will not require a non-Windows password.
