Captaris RightFax for Enterprise Fax and e-Document Delivery Utilized by HP

BELLEVUE, Wash., March 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Captaris, Inc. a leading provider of business information delivery solutions, announced that it has recently signed an agreement with HP to deliver Captaris RightFax, the proven market leader in enterprise fax and e-document delivery solutions that achieve significant cost reductions by integrating and automating business information.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Captaris solution will be implemented by HP's Imaging and Printing Services Organization (IPSO) as part of pay per use and managed office service engagements. IPSO provides services and solutions, which help companies optimize their imaging and printing environments, resulting in cost savings and increased productivity.
Captaris originally partnered with HP over five years ago with the integration of RightFax with HP Digital Senders and select HP multi-function printers. Users can easily scan documents into the RightFax server and manage the documents to send, store, copy and route using the RightFax interface. With the integration of RightFax and the HP 9100C and 8100C Digital Sender along with the HP LaserJet 4100 and 9000 series MFPs, fax numbers can be entered directly on the control panel of the scanner. The document can also be scanned via the devices directly to a network file server, either NetWare or Windows NT. The document is then sent to a user's PC desktop and faxed from there using the RightFax server.
"Captaris is working to continually develop the most robust and flexible enterprise fax and e-document delivery solutions for our customers. Given our presence and strength as a market leader, we are very pleased to have established a vital relationship with HP. This will enable us to build out our strategy of providing the most advanced business information delivery solutions on the market today," said Dan Campi, vice president of Business Development for Captaris. "Together our joint solutions offer customers such as United States Parcel Service a cost-effective way to better leverage their existing HP investments and respond much more quickly to customers."
"Captaris pioneered the integration of network fax with HP devices," stated Ernie Keith, vice president for Imaging and Printing Services at HP. "This new agreement to combine RightFax with our outsourced services will continue our history of providing customers with innovative solutions for their document management, printing and imaging needs."
