Verizon SuperPages.com and InfoSpace, Inc. (Nasdaq:INSP) today announced a renewed agreement to provide yellow pages advertising on InfoSpace's online directory site InfoSpace.com (www.infospace.com), its online search sites including Dogpile.com, and some of InfoSpace's network of affiliate sites. The agreement expands the reach of SuperPages.com's advertisers to include millions of users who visit InfoSpace's network of online yellow pages sites each month.
"For a decade, we have built relationships with local businesses across the country," said Robyn Rose, vice president -- Internet Marketing for SuperPages.com. "We continue to grow those relationships by putting our advertisers in front of more Internet users. We look forward to working with them to extend the reach of our advertisers' messages to their online network."
Rose also emphasized that driving quality traffic to advertisers, especially SuperPages.com's Pay For Calls and Pay Per Click customers, is critical to competing in online local search.
"As local search evolves, providers will need to collaborate and leverage their strengths to create a more relevant search experience for users and to maximize return on investment for advertisers," she said.
"The agreement expands our relationship with SuperPages.com and advances our strategy to provide users with the most robust information on local businesses," said Brian McManus, executive vice president of sales and business development at InfoSpace. "We continue to believe in the long-term opportunity in local search, and relationships like this one with SuperPages are not only key to delivering significant benefit to both directory users and advertisers today, they are vital to the development of the next generation of local search products."
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
