The Children's Internet, Inc. (OTC BB: CITC), marketers of the product ranked by PC Magazine as Editors' Choice* in the category of "Kids' Browsers and Services," announced today that it has signed a contract with KTPR of Sausalito, CA, to immediately plan and put into effect a Public Relations and awareness campaign designed to let the world know that the solution to the issues of child exploitation via the Internet is now available to consumers.
"We are delighted to have Karin Tobiason and her organization poised to spread the word that The Children's Internet(R) is the most socially significant technology introduced in the last ten years that insures no child will be exploited while using the Internet ever again. With over 8 years of pioneering research and development The Children's Internet(R) is a breakthrough, one-of-a-kind SAFE online service where children can experience the very best of the Internet while protected from its ugly side. The Children's Internet(R) is a place that meets the highest educational standards while meeting every child's desire for independence, fun, creativity, and adventure," said Sholeh Hamedani, Chief Executive Officer of The Children's Internet, Inc. "KTPR is a well established firm that has the contacts through which we can deliver our exciting story to both the major print and media houses in the United States."
"Our goal is to position The Children's Internet(R) as not only the solution to the overwhelming issue of Internet safety for children, but also as the 'go-to' experts in Internet security for families," said Karin Tobiason, Managing Director of KTPR. "We expect to see The Children's Internet, Inc. be a prominent participant in the national dialogue pertaining to safety issues for children on the Internet."
Ms. Tobiason continued, "The Children's Internet portal product is incredibly compelling and the timing could not be much better. Parents around the world have been asking for something like this and, once again, a small company with a lot of creativity and passion has developed the answer."
"The big ISPs, from cable to dial up to DSL, have failed the consumer in a big way," said Bill Arnold, President of The Children's Internet, Inc. "Several reputable sources indicate that 40% of Internet traffic is pornography and/or sex related. With these revenues contributing so much to the bottom line, it is no wonder they have not pursued solutions beyond the bandaids known as filters. With our product a family can put a computer with Internet access in a child's room and be absolutely certain that he or she is safe. We give parents the safety they demand and kids the Internet they love and deserve."
* The Children's Internet was selected as PC Magazine Editors' Choice over MSN Premium 9, AOL and EarthLink.
