COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Cisco Gold Partner Netarx, Inc., announced today an exclusive project awarded by the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets. Netarx will install Cisco's Unified IP Communications platform at Nationwide Arena.
The project is slated to begin next month, and will provide the Blue Jackets with a next generation unified voice and data communications system including a wide array of cutting edge IP-based Cisco products. The Netarx team will deliver a turnkey solution including the replacement of the existing Legacy PBX and Local and Wide Area Networks. The new IP infrastructure will be a completely integrated end-to-end Cisco solution encompassing: IP telephony, unified voice and e-mail messaging, wireless (WiFi), and network security.
"Being able to communicate effectively to our fans, corporate team and marketing partners, vendors and everyone throughout our organization is crucial to the success of our business," says Blue Jackets Senior Vice President of Business Operations Larry Hoepfner. "Teaming with Netarx and Cisco Systems will provide us with the IP communications infrastructure that will allow us to accomplish this."
In addition to planning, design, and implementation services, Netarx will provide the Blue Jackets with 24-hour Private Voice Support Offering (PVSO) through its Cisco-certified Network Operations Center (NOC). Netarx PVSO service offering provides the Blue Jackets a single point of contact for network incident resolution, direct contact with certified Netarx engineers who understand the Blue Jackets' environment, assurances that any voice problem will be resolved remotely or onsite as quickly as possible, and the knowledge of a worldwide leader in unified communications.
"This project really draws on the strengths of each company involved," says Kirk Horn, Netarx District Manager. "The Columbus Blue Jackets have a commitment to creating a winning atmosphere for their ticket-holders, players, and staff. The unified communications system was planned and designed with the collaborative effort of the local Cisco account team headed by Bruce Thompson."
