UC4 Software's U.S. Operations Realize Record Quarter; Customer Acquisition Fueled 80 Percent Quarterly Revenue Growth

Posted on: Thursday, 27 April 2006, 09:00 CDT

UC4 Software, the global technology leader in enterprise job scheduling and data center automation, today announced that its U.S. operations ended the first quarter of 2006 with record revenues.

U.S. operations performed above average, producing an 80 percent growth in total revenues and an 87 percent increase in licenses compared to the same period last year. Worldwide revenues in the first quarter of 2006 totaled $8.6 million.

The company attributed the increase in U.S. sales to its continued commitment to overall business success in the country. Accounting for nearly 50 percent of the worldwide job scheduling market, the United States is a strategic market for UC4 Software, allowing for unrestricted growth opportunities.

"We are extremely happy with our continued success in the U.S.," said Mark Loehr, COO of UC4 Software. "Our growth reflects superior software capabilities and our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. We are increasingly pleased with our new investor, the Carlyle Group, which continues to support us as we further our market share in the United States."

In the first quarter, UC4 Software's U.S. operations completed two large upgrades for existing customers, and added nine new customers including the BROE Companies and Mpower Communications.

Additionally, UC4 appointed two new regional vice presidents of sales. David Benjamin and Fred Funke bring 23 years of combined experience, 15 of which are specific to the job scheduling and data center industries. The two executives will focus on further strengthening the company's U.S. initiatives.
