Devicescape Delivers Dramatically Improved Wi-Fi Network Access for Devices; New, Easy Access Technology for Service-Enabled Devices

Devicescape Software, a leader in wireless software for service-enabled devices, today announced availability of Devicescape Easy Access technology into the company's line of platforms. Devicescape's Easy Access technology is the first solution on the market today that enables manufacturers to build service-enabled devices that are easy for consumers to use and connect. Now, with the simple push of a button, consumers can access Web-based services and content from their wireless devices easily and securely at home, at the office, or in a public hotspot.

-- Convenient push button and PIN code set-up -- Devicescape Easy Access technology supports the use of a simple push button set-up approach and the alternative use of a PIN code. With the push button mode, users simply push a button on their client device, then another button on their Wi-Fi router. The result is a robust, WPA2 secure connection between the two devices. With the PIN code method, users enter an eight-digit PIN code into their client device and Wi-Fi router (via a Web interface), resulting in a secure connection.

-- Complete wireless network support -- Devicescape Easy Access technology addresses both client devices (enrollees) and access points or external authentication systems (registrars). Device manufacturers now have a complete solution that can be deployed across their product line and a way to test device operation while under development.

-- Access in the home, office or hotspot -- Devicescape's platforms enable the flexible deployment of Easy Access technology in products for home wireless networks, enterprise wireless networks and wireless public access networks.
