iEntertainment Network, (PINK SHEETS:IENT), a publisher of online titles and the award-winning developer of the World Famous WarBirds TotalSims series, announced today that a brand new version of the massively multiplayer online simulation, WarBirds, will be launched on Monday, May 8th! WarBirds 2006 has a brand new Role Playing System, a new user Interface, more than 35 new features and functions and now operates on the new MAC Intel Chip computers.
WarBirds has been called the best World War II combat operations game ever produced. The award-winning title allows players from around the world to enter a persistent online battlefield and take control of more than 100 different aircraft and vehicles, including fighter and bomber aircraft, tanks, or naval ships in realistic recreations of actual World War II combat. Terrains in the game are based on actual satellite data from around the world and flight models, vehicle physics, and sounds in the game are based on real historical data.
The new Role Playing system in WarBirds 2006 features a brand new Scoring system for Fighter Pilots, Bomber Pilots, and Tank commanders to gain experience points by accomplishing game missions. These point totals allow players to earn military ranks from Cadet to Brigadier General and win Combat Medals up to and including the Grand Star!
The new Interface enables players to easily customize the game experience for their own computer while operating together in massively multiplayer events on PCs, Macs, and the New Intel Mac Computers. This new interface also includes a complete Flying Training Syllabus, a new full WarBirds manual, maps of WarBirds real world terrains, and much more!
The new WarBirds 2006 also includes two new terrains, Midway and Randolph AFB, new Allied and Axis aircraft, and FREE voice communications for all players. This release also includes the T-6 Texan II Turboprop Jet aircraft from IENT's upcoming simulation game for November 2006, USAF Pilot Training: Road to the ThunderBirds!
