Tokyo, Japan - Mar. 24, 2004 - (JCN Newswire) - Hitachi (TSE: 6501) announced March 22 that its Central Research Laboratory has developed a next-generation peer-to-peer (P2P) communications technology for telecom providers and enterprises.
The new P2P technology provides an environment for secure data sharing over IPv6 networks, enabling users to safely share large volume files, exchange instant messages, and establish real-time voice communications.
The technology also allows cellphone and PDA users to quickly access digital image data, since it uses a gateway server that processes P2P communications for the mobile devices.
