HP Delivers Enterprise Integration Solutions Based on Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004

Offerings That Simplify Integration and Speed Change

¶ HP (NYSE:HPQ)(Nasdaq:HPQ) today announced enhancements to its offerings based on Microsoft's BizTalk Server 2004 that are designed to help enterprises become more adaptive by simplifying integration across business processes and information technology infrastructure, while reducing the time and cost of implementing business and IT changes. ¶ The offerings extend HP's enterprise integration portfolio and .NET expertise and further the HP Adaptive Enterprise strategy to dynamically link business processes with IT. As a result, Microsoft has endorsed HP as a Worldwide Prime Integrator for Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 based on HP's skills and capacity to implement BizTalk Server solutions globally. ¶ Announced in conjunction with Microsoft's launch today of BizTalk Server 2004 at the Silicon Valley Speakers' Series, the enhanced solutions include:

¶ -- Enterprise integration services that use BizTalk Server 2004

and adapters from Microsoft and other adapter technology

companies for integrating applications and processes

seamlessly and cost-effectively.

¶ -- HP's Secure Internet Transport Service for easily transmitting

any business data that requires secure interoperability

between applications over the Internet. It also includes a

fully certified and integrated AS1/AS2 software component with

support for unlimited trading partners.

¶ -- HP's Private Business Network Solution, which helps customers

develop an enterprise architecture that integrates business

applications based on XML Web services and BizTalk Server 2004

to enable trading with partners of all sizes.
