Global Internetworking, Inc. (GII), a telecom services integrator and network solutions provider, today at the Intelsat Global Telecom Meeting announced the expansion of its international data transport services with the signing of a wholesale service agreement with KPN, one of Europe's leading telecommunication service providers, headquartered in the Netherlands.
The agreement with the Dutch-based carrier provides greater global reach and coverage for GII's family of data transport services, which includes GII's international private line offerings and international Dedicated Internet Access.
"Our new agreement with KPN gives us even more options to meet the requirements of customers for 22 European countries such as the UK, Germany, France, Eastern European countries and, of course, the Netherlands," said Todd Vecchio, President of Global Internetworking.
According to Vecchio, the agreement with KPN fits well with Global's strategy to provide turn-key, carrier-neutral solutions to service providers and enterprises: "Through our ongoing expansion of relationships with telecom carriers within and outside of the U.S. and our network of domestic hubs and globally-tailored product offerings like GateWay Hub and Multi-Hub, we are building upon our strategy of providing outstanding service, value and flexibility in the global communications arena," he said.
Global's GateWay Hub provides customers a flexible, seamless, cost-effective solution to transport, deliver and convert international E1, E3 and STM-n traffic to and from the DS1, DS3 and OC-n North American standards. GII's Multi-Hub offering is a facilities-neutral service for the aggregation and grooming of private line networks to provide cost-savings through the more efficient use of bandwidth for metro access or long-haul applications.
GII presently has U.S. hubbing capability in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles Miami, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C.
