Acquisition of MailStreet Further Validated By Accelerated Adoption of Hosted Exchange and Mobility Services
Apptix, a premiere provider of on-demand, managed messaging and collaboration solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced that its MailStreet division has reached a major milestone, having surpassed 30,000 subscribers and 5,000 customers. MailStreet, which focuses on companies with 1 to 20 employees, has achieved greater than a 25 percent increase in subscribers since its acquisition by Apptix on December 1, 2005, bringing the total number of Apptix end users to more than 85,000 across over 9,500 customers worldwide.
"Traditionally, the small business market has been underserved, but we have taken the opportunity to tap into this area with a keen focus on providing premier customer service every step of the way," said Don Dimon, General Manager of MailStreet. "We can take a customer who has a limited knowledge of technology, identify their most critical IT needs and get them up and running on Hosted Exchange in a single business day, providing them with state-of-the-art technology that delivers significant cost savings and increased productivity."
Apptix acquired MailStreet as part of its corporate strategy to grow its business by expanding its presence in the small business market. As a market leader in serving this segment, MailStreet provides customers who have limited, internal resources and staff with improved IT capabilities, service flexibility and scalability.
"We service many clients and uptime is critical to our business, and we were seeking an outsourced provider to help take the burden off of our one-person IT staff to improve overall productivity," said Lynne Chouiniere, Office Manager of Evident Software. "With MailStreet, we have business-class email service that supports all wireless devices, and they provide unparalleled customer service by responding to our ongoing needs quickly and professionally."
MailStreet markets Hosted Exchange and complementary Mobile Messaging services for BlackBerry(R) and GoodLink(TM) enabled devices, as the company supports an extensive customer base using mobile messaging services to access their email. The division also provides solutions for anti-virus protection, anti-spam protection, archiving and compliance, and Hosted SharePoint.
"Our team is focused on providing cutting edge combustion and environmental technology with the highest level of customer satisfaction. To offer the best solutions for our customers we need to keep our focus on innovation instead of on IT management," said George Hainsworth, President of Flare Industries. "MailStreet allows us to focus on what we do best by providing us with excellent service for Hosted Exchange to support the ongoing needs of our users with no infrastructure to manage or maintain."
