Beanstalk Networks Integrates Interthinx(TM) DISSCO Fraud Prevention With OpenClose(R) Platform; Web-Based Mortgage Software Provider Enhances Fraud Prevention in the Secondary Market

Posted on: Monday, 8 May 2006, 09:09 CDT

Interthinx(TM), a unit of ISO, and the nation's leading provider of automated fraud protection and decision support tools for the mortgage industry, announced at the MBA National Secondary Market Conference that Beanstalk Networks(TM) has integrated OpenClose MTG(R), its web-based end-to-end mortgage platform, with Data Integrity Search and Score (DISSCO)(TM) the Interthinx fraud detection and prevention system.

"Interthinx offers methodology for intercepting mortgage fraud before it permeates the secondary marketplace. And that's vital," said Jason Regalbuto, president and CTO, Beanstalk Networks. "We integrated DISSCO with OpenClose as part of our corporate strategy to pursue seamless integrations with leading third-party products and services that add value to our users' overall experience."

Beanstalk Networks was established as a technology solutions supplier for lenders and brokers, and has pioneered the advancement of application service provider (APS) software. Its signature platform solution, OpenClose MTG, offers tailored configurations for both lenders and brokers that can be used for origination, processing, and managing digital loan folders while providing tools for pre-qualification, product/price locking, automated underwriting and back office mortgage banking.

The integration between OpenClose MTG and Interthinx will enable loans to be instantly and seamlessly submitted to DISSCO for automatic screening for potential mortgage fraud. DISSCO is an electronic fraud-prevention tool that is designed to reduce the risk associated with mortgage lending due to fraud. It can instantly search hundreds of mortgage-related data fields in a loan record to identify and score the kinds of misinformation, inaccuracies and inconsistencies that could indicate fraud. DISSCO then produces a detailed report with step-by-step recommendations for lenders on how to respond.

"Our secondary markets are critical to the viability of the U.S. mortgage economy, and we cannot afford to leave them exposed to insidious fraud schemes," said Kevin Coop, president of Interthinx. "Specific to Beanstalk Network's OpenClose MTG platform, DISSCO will form a protective barrier around its users' portfolios, allowing them to identify and deal with loans that indicate fraudulent characteristics before they further impact the market."

There are currently more than 13,000 users accessing the OpenClose MTG software platform
