Adaptec Appoints New Vice President of Global Product Development

Adaptec, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADPT), a global leader in storage solutions, today announced that it has strengthened its engineering organization with the appointment of Manoj Goyal as vice president of global product development. Goyal is a highly experienced engineering leader who has been responsible for several advancements in storage application software and operating system architectures over the last 16 years.
Most recently, Goyal was the vice president, platform engineering at EMC Documentum, where he was responsible for a group of more than 225 employees worldwide and products that drove $250 million in annual revenue. Prior to EMC Documentum, he spent ten years at Sun Microsystems in several engineering leadership roles managing the development of data management and network storage products as well as the Solaris Operating System for strategic OEM partners. He also spent time managing the creation of innovative software tools for the Java development platform.
