CDB Software and DBI Announce Partnership to Enhance Mainframe Data Accountability

TAMPA, Fla., May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- CDB Software, Inc. (CDB), a provider of innovative solutions for DB2 z/OS, and Database-Brothers, Inc. (DBI) which provides performance and accountability solutions for DB2 LUW and Oracle, today announced a strategic alliance agreement to enhance enterprise accountability. CDB/Audit, a comprehensive reporting tool for mainframe DB2 auditing, will incorporate DBI's Patent Pending technology that tracks web access and updates to corporate database data, capturing web application End User identities and the correlating database statement activity. This alliance allows mainframe users to immediately identify not only the violating transactions, but also the web application end user and originating IP address. This capability strengthens compliance with regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA by eliminating the security gap created by web applications using a connection pool to access mainframe data.
