visionGATEWAY Introduces New VoIP Technology to the Higher Education Market at the National Association of Educational Procurement Annual Conference

(OTC BB: VGWA), through its sponsorship of the Internet Cafe at the National Association of Educational Procurement (NAEP) Annual Conference in Baltimore, MD, from May 8 through May 10, continues its commitment to the Higher Education Market segment. VGWA believes the core professional associations in this market, such as NAEP, ACUTA, and NACUBO, are integral to a strong business relationship with the many thousands of Colleges and Universities they represent.

The Internet Cafe setup enables all attendees to access internet and e-mail facilities while connected through visionGATEWAY's Internet Resource Management and Security Solution, INTERScepter.

Additionally, visionGATEWAY presented its new VoIP solution to the Higher Education Market in a Showcase Presentation entitled: The Network & Communications Dilemma - How to Benefit from Internet Technologies Yet Improve Management, Cost Control & Security.

In presenting to the conference, Glen Fleischhacker, VGWA's new Vice-President of Sales & Distribution, with Industry Specialization in Higher Education and Telecommunications, outlined the issues and solutions in this new communications environment -- Glen was with AT&T for over 20 years, the last 12 years in senior management representing AT&T's interests in the College market.

The term Next Generation Network "NGN" is being utilized with such fervor today, that it is becoming as ubiquitous as the word "hamburger." The real meaning of NGN is complete replacement of analog phones with data-based "IP" phones and complete transparency between data and wireless networks. The issue is how do Educational Institutions take advantage of these changes for the benefit of staff, faculty and students but still improve management of these technologies with cost control while meeting requirements for security and regulatory compliance. The presentation explored these issues and their solutions, with particular emphasis on internet usage and Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies.
