Kingston to Provide Upgrade Memory for the SGI Origin 3000, Onyx 3000, Origin 300 Family, Onyx 300 Family, Onyx4 UltimateVision, Silicon Graphics Fuel and Tezro Systems

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the worldwide independent leader in memory products, announced an agreement with Silicon Graphics , a world leader in products, solutions, and services for high-performance computing, visualization, and storage. The new agreement between the two companies authorizes Kingston(R) to market upgrade memory for the SGI(R) Origin(R) 3000 and SGI(R) Origin(R) 300 family of servers, SGI(R) Onyx(R) 3000 and SGI(R) Onyx(R) 300 visualization systems, Silicon Graphics(R) Onyx4(TM) UltimateVision(TM) visualization systems, and Silicon Graphics Fuel(R) and Silicon Graphics(R) Tezro(TM) visual workstations. Memory for these systems contain SGI proprietary technology.

During the term of the agreement between the parties, Kingston's memory products are fully eligible for support services through SGI as Kingston's designated service provider. SGI customers of Origin 3000, Onyx 3000, Origin 300, Onyx 300, Onyx4 UltimateVision, Silicon Graphics Fuel and Tezro workstations may arrange for service by contacting the SGI worldwide service organization directly for support. Kingston and SGI have a long history of mutual agreements, including the previous SGI(R) Origin(R) 2000, SGI(R) Origin(R) 200, and the Silicon Graphics(R) Onyx2(R) licensing agreement.
