OAKLAND, Calif., March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Kivera (http://www.kivera.com/), a leading provider of wireless mobile applications and business solutions for Global 1000 companies, has developed a powerful BREW and Java-based core application framework that enables the rapid development of a new class of mobile applications using real-time mapping display and the delivery of dynamic content.
The Kivera Mobility Framework provides client components that facilitate the creation of high-performance, location-enabled applications on mobile devices, such as wireless handsets, smart phones and PDAs. This client architecture includes map controls, user interface objects, integrated messaging and alert services, cache management, and real-time tracking services.
The Kivera map control supports layered raster and vector data to optimize low bandwidth connections on mobile devices. With the Kivera Framework, data-intensive, real-time mapping applications run more efficiently in mobile environments, delivering greater application performance and an improved user experience. All client-side components are configurable via XML and may be associated with web services to provide profile and alert management and location services that leverage the Kivera Location Engine(TM), Kivera's popular core location-based services platform.
"The Kivera Mobility Platform provides a flexible stage for developing new applications that will more efficiently and effectively deliver dynamic content to wireless customers," said Kivera President and CEO Stuart Jacobson. "Kivera's support of both BREW and Java reflects our commitment to provide the wireless industry with speedy, customized, and adaptable mobile applications that will drive both customer adoption and usage."
