Unica Hosts Fifth Annual Marketing Innovation Summit; Sold-Out Conference Showcased Best Practices and Innovative Use of Marketing Technology; Annual Marketing Success Award Winner Announced

Unica(R) Corporation, a global provider of Enterprise Marketing Management (EMM) solutions, held its fifth annual Marketing Innovation Summit for customers from around the world at the Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa in Fort Myers, Florida. This year's conference, entitled "Making the Right Connections," included six content-rich tracks with more than 40 breakout sessions covering products, customer case studies, best practices, tips and techniques. The three-day, sold-out event, held on May 7 through May 9, drew more than 450 attendees from 11 countries.
During the Summit, Unica announced OCBC Bank as the 2006 Unica Marketing Success Award winner. The Unica Marketing Success Awards honor Unica customers that have successfully implemented enterprise marketing management technology to achieve strong business results and improve marketing performance. Leveraging Unica's Affinium software as part of a holistic marketing transformation, OCBC Bank, Singapore's longest established local bank, adopted innovative event-based marketing and servicing techniques to improve the timing and relevance of sales and service communications. This transformation resulted in marketing velocity that increased by 40 percent, and campaign revenues that more than doubled in the past three years. Charles Schwab Corporation and HDFC Bank were also 2006 finalists for the Unica Marketing Success Award.

Kicking off the Summit, Unica co-founder and CEO Yuchun Lee gave the keynote address articulating the most critical business and consumer trends that organizations must address over the next decade. Lee shared his vision for marketing in the future, stressing the need to achieve marketing that is so relevant and timely that it is welcomed as a service by customers and prospects. Lee also articulated a vision for a marketing "system of record" that is needed to achieve this level of customer-relevant marketing to enable the agility and accountability required to compete.
The 2006 Marketing Innovation Summit included a new user workshop session as well as post-conference advanced training sessions. Created to assist customers who are in the process of implementing Unica's Affinium software, the pre-Summit new user workshop included a panel of experienced Affinium users that answered questions and shared their implementation best practices. The well-received, interactive training sessions provided experienced Affinium users with tips and strategies to leverage the advanced capabilities of Affinium.
Unica also hosted its Technical Advisory Board (TAB), comprised of technical executives from some of the world's most customer-driven companies, who meet regularly to discuss their technology strategies with Unica's product development team.
