MCI expands Voice over Internet access

On Thursday, MCI announced it has expanded its Voice over Internet Protocol service, MCI Advantage, and is working with BroadSoft Inc. to provide extended hosted communications capabilities. VoIP service, which allows customers access to both voice and data services over the Internet, has been the subject of debate among some telecommunications companies that claim VoIP technology, which is not federally regulated, has an unfair advantage in the industry.
