CHICAGO, March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America, Inc., the number one stand-alone vendor of flat panel desktop displays, today announced the addition of a 20-inch LCD monitor to its award- winning NEC MultiSync(R) LCD 60 Series line. The new NEC MultiSync LCD2060NX display is ergonomically designed to maximize computing comfort with a thin- frame cabinet design and height adjustable stand offering tilt and swivel capabilities. Priced aggressively at $1,199.99 U.S. ESP, the monitor offers business and home users an attractive alternative to large CRT monitors through superior visual performance, intelligent features, and streamlined design.
"Competitive price points and a universal attraction to the thin, light form of flat panel displays will see the total LCD units shipped worldwide overtake CRTs this year from 67.9 million to 53.4 million," said Jennifer Gallo, analyst, IDC. "When upgrading to an LCD monitor many professionals and consumers are opting for large-screens that will allow them to display more information, thereby helping to maximize productivity and enhance the comfort of their viewing experience."
The NEC MultiSync LCD2060NX monitor delivers on NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display's reputation for superior image quality with a high brightness of 250 cd/m2, sharp 0.255 mm pixel pitch, 600:1 typical contrast ratio and 1600 x 1200 maximum resolutions. A high-bright backlight enhances readability and No Touch Auto Adjust(TM) feature automatically attunes the screen settings for optimal viewing when the monitor is first turned on. Equipped with Rapid Response(TM) technology, the monitor provides full-motion video display with typical response times of 25 ms or less to virtually eliminate ghosting or blurring.
"With the introduction of the NEC MultiSync LCD2060NX monitor, NEC- Mitsubishi continues to build on its selection of 20-inch LCD displays to provide professionals and consumers with a choice of models that best meets their computing needs," said Kevin Christopherson, senior product manager for NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America, Inc. "The superior quality and rich features that distinguish NEC-Mitsubishi are integrated in this new model, coupled with extensive support services, to enrich users' experience as they work and play on the PC."
Additional Features of the NEC MultiSync LCD2060NX Monitor:
-- NaViSet(TM) software (available by download) allows users and
administrators to easily adjust display settings with a mouse and
keyboard through the On Screen Manager (OSM(R)), instead of using the
monitor's up-front buttons
-- Wide compatibility with DVI-D and traditional 15-pin VGA connectors,
eliminating the need for a digital-to-analog conversion
-- XtraView wide-angle viewing technology provides flexible horizontal
and vertical viewing angles up to 170-degrees
-- Built-in power supply and cable management all contained within a
thin footprint
-- Detachable base and arm/wall mounting capabilities allow you to free

ultimate in power savings
