Infoglide Software Hires Former Compuware Executive As Chief Marketing Officer

Infoglide Software Corporation, the leader in the emerging transactional business intelligence market, today announced the addition of Robert Barker to its executive team. Mr. Barker joins Infoglide Software as chief marketing officer. His hiring rounds out the executive team of President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Shultz, Chief Financial Officer Lynn Atchison, and Chief Technology Officer Charles Moon.
Mr. Barker brings over 25 years experience in growing businesses to the high-growth software company. For the past several years, Mr. Barker was vice president of strategic planning for Compuware Corporation where he was responsible for product and technology strategy and direction for the $1.2 billion software and services company.
Prior to Compuware, Mr. Barker was with STARTech Early Ventures. In his position there as entrepreneur in residence, Mr. Barker evaluated software startups for potential seed investments. Before STARTech, Mr. Barker was group vice president of business development for Sterling Commerce where he successfully led acquisition and partnership initiatives for Sterling's Dallas-based Communications Group. His career includes additional executive business development positions with Critical Devices, Anysoft, and Novell. While at Novell, he developed and managed partnerships with the most influential companies in the technology industry including a partnership with Compaq that funded Novell/Compaq joint sales programs. He also created partnerships with Lotus Notes and CA-Unicenter that resulted in new markets. Mr. Barker started his career with two Austin-based pioneering software companies, MRI and Execucom.
