AlarmPoint Systems Releases Standard and Professional Products on Next-Generation AlarmPoint(R) Platform

Fully Web-Based AlarmPoint Products Provide Powerful Event Notification and Resolution Capabilities for SMB and Enterprise Customers
AlarmPoint Systems announced today the addition of two software products, AlarmPoint(R) Standard and AlarmPoint(R) Professional, to the next-generation AlarmPoint platform known for its people-focused notification that finds the IT incident "resolver" or service owner and enables resolution. With 100% web-based administration of any system component, managing user profiles, devices, group scheduling, event acknowledgement and reporting, the administrative burdens on IT administrators and staff are significantly reduced. The built-in wizard for managing groups helps administrators and users easily set-up and maintain the critical information used to automate event notification and resolution processes.
While AlarmPoint Standard is an entry level product useful for small groups especially in the small-to-midsize business (SMB) market, it easily integrates to enterprise systems management applications and runs on Unix, Windows, Linux and other platforms, plus supports Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases. AlarmPoint Standard, like all next-generation AlarmPoint products, includes a Developer IDE with virtual testing tools and device level validation features to ensure changes to processes and contact information work as expected during the incident management process.
AlarmPoint Professional is designed to serve the needs of global SMB and enterprise users and can flexibly grow with IT's operational requirements. As the need for expanding ITIL processes continues across multiple disciplines within IT, AlarmPoint too extends to meet the needs of users in the areas of incident, service, support, change and configuration and continuity management. Built to address the changing needs of IT and to improve the intelligence of notifications, AlarmPoint's advanced event management features include scheduled filtering, suppression and enrichment. AlarmPoint Professional includes self-service user personalization features that embrace the realities of today's mobile workforce by turning over My Profile update responsibilities -- alert types, languages, roles, work schedules, reports, devices, escalation rules -- to an expanding, changing community of users and event resolvers. My Profile not only reduces IT administrative requirements, but increases the likelihood of valid device information to improve the event dispatch and escalation processes, and provides a quick dashboard view of pending personal and team alerts, plus personalized reporting. The users' AlarmPoint experience can be enhanced with optional web user interface localization in 12 languages including double byte support.
Both AlarmPoint Standard and AlarmPoint Professional products allow users to run automations as a result of a user's response to an event, or to independently build processes in advance which run automatically to cure an event. AlarmPoint Professional includes a set of several standard reports, as well as reporting that exceeds Sarbanes Oxley and NFPA 1600 requirements.
