Agilent Technologies Powers Online Store With Comergent; New eBusiness Solution Improves Customer Satisfaction and Reduces Costs
Posted on: Tuesday, 16 May 2006, 09:04 CDT
Comergent Technologies(R), Inc., today announced that the Comergent eBusiness System(TM) is powering an online product and parts store for Agilent Technologies Electronic Measurements Group. The new robust eBusiness solution improves customer communication and reduces costs.
Agilent online customers now can configure and choose from among 350 products and 30,000 repair parts 24x7. They can either complete a shopping cart and purchase via credit card or transfer a shopping cart to their procurement department to finalize the order.
"We had very clear goals in replacing our current system with a new eBusiness initiative," said Dave Schlottman, eBusiness Project Manager, Agilent. "Comergent's eBusiness solution provided the product breadth and vision necessary to support both customer requirements and our financial objectives."
The results of Agilent's new online store indicate higher-than-anticipated adoption. The new system, after only six months, has exceeded its sales goals yet has allowed the customer service representative (CSR) staffing to remain constant.
"Agilent represents a growing number of our customers who are taking a critical look at their current online solution and making significant changes," said Jean Kovacs, Comergent president and CEO. "By making the online experience more accommodating, flexible and seamless, companies are increasing the bottom line and improving the experience for their customers."
