Global Gaming Firm, GTECH, Expands License With Pragma Systems for Process Management Solution
Posted on: Tuesday, 16 May 2006, 12:02 CDT
pragma Systems Corporation, the market leader in software for process improvement and compliance, has expanded its license with GTECH Corporation (NYSE:GTK), a $1.3 billion global gaming company, to a company-wide level. pragma Systems' product, processMax, will aid GTECH in continuing to build upon the success it has already achieved in implementing the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration(R) (CMMI(R)).
GTECH has increased its number of licenses with processMax for five consecutive years. The natural progression led to a company-wide licensing agreement. The intranet-based tool will aid the rollout of new initiatives within GTECH including the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), as well as increase current compliance and CMMI certification opportunities.
"processMax provides the management processes that corporations need to ensure high quality software," said Rebecca Bowerman, President and CEO of pragma Systems. "GTECH expanding to an enterprise-level license allows them to easily implement these processes in all of their locations and projects."
With the expansion of any business, process management becomes more and more difficult, especially with companies that work with all levels of government (state, federal, or international). GTECH found that processMax offered a viable solution for this challenge.
"Managing a global business, while maintaining the constant uniformity that the government demands, can be extremely challenging," said Paul Morgan, Director of GTECH's Technology Process Group. "Expanding our utilization of processMax to a company-wide contract ensures consistency of operations for our multiple locations."
