Unient Signs 12,000 Residential VoIP Users on BroadSoft-Based Viphone Break Service in 3 Months

BroadSoft Inc, the leading provider of VoIP application software announced today that long-time customer, Unient Communications, has signed over 12,000 residential customers to its viphone break VoIP service offering, based on the BroadWorks VoIP application platform. Unient introduced the residential VoIP service in February 2006 and continues to gain customers at an average rate of several hundred per day.
Callers use the computer-based viphone communicator to place calls to any person, with the majority of calls being completed to destinations across Europe and North America. Calls within the viphone break network are free of charge, and calls to users on other fixed line or mobile networks are charged at very competitive rates. The viphone break website (www.viphone.cz/en/about-viphone-break.html) offers complete details of the service and the latest promotional offers including initial credits and ongoing monthly credits.
The viphone communicator makes it easy for residential users to place calls from their computers and lets callers handle advanced features simply, such as sending unanswered calls to a voice mail box, using a contact list, and seeing a list of calls that have been made or received previously. As a supplement to the softphone, a residential user can purchase a special phone or adapter and use the viphone break services over a regular telephone when the computer is switched off.
