PHOENIX, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Ivis Technologies today announced that it has joined the thriving community of organizations building extensions to the Sun Java Studio integrated development environment. Ivis's JBoost enables Sun Java Studio developers to leverage reusable software assets, allowing them to focus on business logic, rather than on redundant programming tasks. Ivis, is currently using the Sun Java(TM) System Application Server Enterprise Edition 7 (formerly Sun ONE Application Server) as their J2EE(TM) deployment platform, and they have seen JBoost significantly reduce both development and deployment costs.
Sun Microsystems and Ivis Technologies share a common goal of accelerating application delivery through improved developer productivity. JBoost provides an application infrastructure framework for Web applications, sites and portals that includes: Web application and artifact security management, on-demand presentation management (dynamic re-branding), globalization strategies, and an administrative management console. By replacing maintenance intensive management functions with reusable logic, JBoost enables organizations to produce and maintain higher quality applications in less time, with fewer resources, and at a lower total cost of ownership. Additionally, the powerful combination of the Java System Application Server and JBoost will accelerate the proliferation of Web services on diverse platforms including the Solaris(TM) Operating System, Linux and Windows.
"The combination of Sun Java Studio, JBoost and the Java System Application Server contributes more than just great technology," said Christopher Lank, CEO, Ivis Technologies. "Today's solutions must have clear business value with immediate productivity and ongoing maintenance savings. JBoost delivers the financial benefits required by IT organizations today."
Jeff Anders, Group Marketing Manager Developer Platforms at Sun Microsystems, commented, "The relationship between Sun and Ivis is a natural fit given Sun's commitment to increase developer productivity. We share a common vision in cutting development costs, reducing software complexity and enhancing rapid application development for time driven requirements."
