OVERLAND PARK, Kan., March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint announced today that Intel Corporation has become a new member of the Sprint PCS Business Solutions(SM) Program. "Intel's channel members have a strong mix of consulting strengths and distribution experience, particularly in the desktop and laptop market, making them a valuable addition to the Sprint PCS Business Solutions Program," said Phil Bowman, vice president of Integrated Solutions for Sprint. "Sprint PCS wireless products combined with Intel dealer solutions provide a one-stop shop for access to mobile solutions that can increase efficiencies and productivity via the enhanced Sprint Nationwide PCS Network."

Comprised of more than 45,000 channel members, Intel's product dealer program represents one of the largest contingents of value-added resellers in the United States that sell PCs and consulting and networking services to small- and medium-sized businesses.

"The convergence of computing and communications has created an opportunity for our dealer channel to continue to grow their business," said John Davies, vice president and director, Solution Market Development Group, Intel. "This relationship with Sprint allows specific products and services such as Sprint PCS wireless voice and data products to be integrated with notebook PCs based on Intel(R) Centrino(TM) mobile technology, enabling them to sell a more complete solution to their customers."

The Sprint PCS Business Solutions Program was designed to provide significantly more opportunities and flexibility for Sprint business customers to acquire and deploy core wireless data solutions, including wireless email and connection cards, as well as more complex offerings that typically satisfy the needs of vertical markets. Sprint PCS Business Solutions Program members include leading system integrators, independent software vendors, original equipment manufacturers, distributors and value-added resellers in the IT industry.
